JOB SUMMARY:

Sales Representatives are responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account development within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. Maintaining customer relationships with current customers and bringing new customers to drive business goals. Coordinate with other members of the sales team and team leaders as needed to generate sales and provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement a sales strategy to maximize results by driving for sales goal achievement focused on measurable results.Aligns work with strategic goals focusing on big picture to identify trends.

Identify and expand sales/business opportunities with existing accounts.
Forecast sales and identify strategic growth opportunities within the industry.
Launch new products as directed by Sales Leadership within a given territory/customer.

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with existing accounts within an assigned area focusing on long lasting relationships.
  • Communicate with all current and potential customers on a regular basis, providing solutions as needed, and oversee all sales activity for assigned territory. (Expectation is a minimum in person contact of once per month for smaller accounts and once per week for larger accounts.)
  • Listens and acknowledges customer’s concerns; troubleshoots for successful resolution for the internal and external customers when obstacles are presented.
  • Regularly submit reports on sales activity to the company and maintain clean and updated records for all leads and customers.
  • Pipeline opportunities are updated at the end of business each Friday at minimum to include all entry notes or changes.
  • WDS forms will be utilized and completed accurately for all processes, RFQ, quotes, RFS, Non-Stock requests, DNS.
  • Stay informed of changes in industry, including trends, new products and changes in regulations.
  • Adhere to all company procedures, values and policies to provide an accurate representation of the company to all potential and current customers.
  • Prepare and conduct professional sales presentations as needed.
  • Assumes responsibility for understanding and complying with Company’s attendance policy.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Company’s internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in trade shows (including assisting in set-ups and tear downs) attend conferences for maximum exposure of company product and capabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: College Degree preferred; commensurate sales or related experience will be considered.

Experience: Four or five years of selling experience is required; preferably in distribution.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communicator with positive attitude.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationship with service providers, field/office employees and managers in order to coordinate sales activities and policies.
  • Must be flexible, prioritize workload, and highly organized.
  • Ability to work well as a team member, but also to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to deal tactfully, and as required, make formal presentations of company products and/or services to customers.

Licenses/Certifications – Must have a valid driver’s license

Technology/Equipment: Ability to operate a variety of office equipment to include but not limited to personal computers, printers, scanners and calculators. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.

*WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Environment – Work is performed outside the office with travel every workday to the site of the customer. Weather conditions vary based on area assigned.
  • Physical Demands – Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands/fingers.
  • Mental Demands – Using standard mental and visual attention continuously, with occasional periods of continuous alertness and concentration.
  • Talk/Hearing – Must be able to receive and send information through oral communication. The noise level in the office environment is occasionally quiet and frequently moderate.
